Spinning

I think I caught a bug.
My stomach started churning last night and then this morning I woke feeling like I was going to puke. I hate feeling this way.
Why do I catch things so easily? My immune system sucks! Hopefully it will go away before tomorrow. I need to be healthy enough to take my driving test.

Derek and Ashley booked their Hawaii tickets. I'm very excited. It's both a good and bad thing that only 20 people are coming to the wedding. All in all, I'm happy with the wedding plans so far.
We are having a black and white themed ceremony and then a colorful reception. It should look pretty when the sun sets.

My work shower was yesterday. There was yummy food from La Madeline and presents. My work is definitely generous.

Are criminals ugly?

I wish I could skip April and go straight to May.
I am sick of being in Georgia and I am sick of being away from Myke.
My friends here are flighty and can never make plans. My days are spent working, eating and then sleeping. Wow, sounds terribly exciting, huh?
Hopefully my life will get better once I move to California...at least I'll be with Myke.

I'm sleepy yet I went to sleep at 9:30pm.
They need to allow naps in the workplace.

Responses and a fail

So far I've received 7 wedding response cards in the mail. I love getting them in the mail (even if most people aren't coming).

My luck has been horrible lately. Hopefully, it will get better next weekend. I don't know what I'll do if I have to drive to Cartersville another couple of times (don't ask).

Side note: I hate our keyboard. The shift key gets stuck and everything goes in caps and/or weird signs. I should really buy my parents a new one before I leave.

I had a nice long talk with my brother last night. I guess we are more alike than I thought.

Filing Time

My last employer told me that I could use this special employment verification form when taxes came along, but of course, they were wrong.
This morning has been spent making calls to Vancouver and Toronto. Of course, no one is ever at their desk to help people in need. Anyways, hopefully I can get this worked out before taxes are due (they are due April 30th, right?).

I'm stressing over my driving test. I've decided to take it this Saturday and I just don't know if I'm ready to do parallel parking. I need to practice a bit more.

It's almost April and yet it's cold. The weather here has been crazy. I'm glad it was warm when my friends came to visit.

And I sit and wait...

A lot

Events of the weekend:

Friday: Naomi, Rose and Myke came into Atl on Friday night around 10ish. I was super excited to see all of them although I'm not sure if it showed. I tend to suck at hellos and goodbyes (or so I've been told...).

Saturday: We all went to Einsteins for bagels. It was so good to catch up and talk politics, Canada, and life. After that, Rose, Naomi and myself went to get pedicures/manicures. After listening to crazy ladies talking about how no one speaks english in manicure stores, we left and went to Publix for lunch (though we really ended up eating lunch at a sub place).
Then we came back home to help my mom setup for the party.
Speaking of the party, it was a success. Everyone had fun and enjoyed the food (go mom!). We ended up having a total of 83 people attend.
Following the party, the kids decided to go to Virginia Highlands. We went to a local bar and chatted it up until 1am.

Sunday: Woke up later and hung out with everyone at home (i.e. Rose, Naomi and Myke). Went to Lennox Mall and checked out Apple Store. Met up with Ryan and went to Georgia Aquarium. So much fun! We got to touch sharks and sting rays. I was so impressed. Afterwards, we headed to Phipps to eat at "The Grape." Myke and Rose enjoyed tasting different wines, while Naomi and I enjoyed a yummy hummus dish.

Monday: Myke left in the morning, but not before we went out to breakfast. I was sad. I'll be seeing Myke in a month though.
My friends and I played games and then headed out to find shoes for Rose.
After that, we went to a cute veggie restaurant where we enjoyed a kickass dinner.

Tuesday: I slept in way too late. We all played board games until my dad came home and announced we were going to the Carter Center. Naomi was in heaven (it was cute).
I was a bit sad cause I knew our time was almost up.
My dad and I dropped Naomi and Rose off at the airport.

I completed my thank you cards and am now ready for bed (it's 8pm though).

And that's it...

Come Friday Come!

Today I bought new glasses. They are similar to my old black pair but better. :)

Also, I drove my new car for the first time. At first I was nervous, but then I got use to it and it was ok. It drives pretty well for being 11 years old.

Oh and I got a bonus. Pretty sweet, huh? I am going to buy a bathing suit. I need one for Hawaii. I also need to stop scratching my legs. Boy, are they itchy!

I'm doing like 20 loads of laundry right now. This engagement party has been a lot of work. I don't know how my mom does it...

My dad and I tried to get a tag (i.e. plates) for my new car but the gov't office wouldn't accept our paperwork unless we went to some other office first. How ridiculous is that you have to run around the city for a stupid tag. My god! Why can't these gov't offices be all next to one another. It'd be easier for everyone. You know what else would be easier for everyone? Longer hours of operation for government buildings. Who can get to these places when they are only open from 8-4:30pm??

The Old Jewish Ladies Club

I think my mom has befriended the whole jewish community. We have about 10 older jewish ladies (when I say older I mean 50-60 years old) baking and cooking for the engagement party. It's funny how many women enjoy doing that stuff. At least I know the food will be yummy :)

4 more days until my friends and Myke come in town. Yeah!!!
Also, it's going to be a jew-crew reunion at the Golden house on Saturday. Josh R, Josh W, Dan, Jodi, Sadie, Lauren H, Lara and Adam will be there. Good times :)

I got my eyebrows waxed and I didn't get an allergic reaction. Another Yeah!

I'm so glad that Brokeback Mountain didn't win best picture. That film was soooo boring! Crash was a great movie. Two Yeah's for Crash!!

Tomorrow I have an eye appointment with Lenscrafters. I'm hoping to get a couple of contacts and a new pair of glasses. I so need a new trendy pair of glasses.

I'm itchy...

Bought the car!

We bought the car yesterday! My parents and I drove about 9 hours to pick up the car in South Carolina/North Carolina. It's really nice and runs really well. My dad is having a new cd player installed today and we are going to get a GA emissions test either today or tomorrow. That means by the time Myke is here it should be set for him to drive back to Cali. I just hope he has no problems driving it back. He did share with me that a co-worker of his purchased a '96 Toyota Avalon (one year younger than our model) and drove it from NY to CA without any problems.
If anyone wants to check out the car go to www.dbrmotors.com and click on inventory and then "toyota avalon."
Oh, Myke and I decided to name the car "Balcario" (pronounced BAL-CARE-E-O).

My engagement party is less than a week away and I'm getting really excited. Today I'm going shopping with my mom to pick out an outfit. Apparently jeans and a tshirt isn't classy enough. That said, everyone else is going to be wearing hawaiian themed clothing (i.e. hawaiian shirts, bright colored tshirts, etc...).

Happy Sunday!
