So, this is Christmas

Christmas in California:
-Woke up super early and decided Schmaty needed to open her Christmas present (really code for "I want to open MY presents").
-Decided Myke knows me super well (he picked out great presents for me).
-Visited Myke's family in Yorba Linda. They were very generous with food and presents! Sweet bunch!
-Ate dinner at Kikos (I think that was the name) and had a yummy Tepan dinner.
-Watched "Love Actually" for a bit.

A rebel with a cause

I overheard my brother telling relatives that I was a bit of a rebel. That made me laugh! My dad quickly followed by saying "Dara is a rebel with a cause." I'm not sure what the means, but I'll take it as a compliment!

Today meant spending time with family (i.e. Ronda, Mike, Kevin, Sean, Uncle Stan & Diane) and doing lots of laundry. The laundry part sucked, but the family time was lots of fun. We played Scene It and driedle (not sure if that's how you spell it though).

Tomorrow is the last night of Chanukah. I'm honestly just glad to be around my family (though I'm sad Myke isn't here to join us...he'll be back on Saturday).

Am I really in California?

Got in Friday night. Weather was crappy (about 54 degrees and rainy). Left Saturday morning for Palm Springs. Weather here is on the colder side too. I thought CA was suppose to be sunny and warm? Not fair!

I've decided my family can shop anyone into death. My mom should win a medal!!

Today means possibly more shopping and more yelling (the good kind though).

I'm just not good...

I had my first 5pm-1:30am training session and it didn't go very well. I just don't function during those times. I tried my hardest, but I still came across as a moron. Hopefully, the class won't hold it against me and the rest of the week will pick up :)

My dad is coming to visit tomorrow. I hope I have enough energy to do stuff. I'm incred. exhausted these days!
It will be nice to have time off when I get back to Irvine. I'm looking forward to that.

I need to eat something.

My brother and Dan came and gone. Up next: Sadie is coming to visit!

I've been working like a mad cow (huh?)!! I also found out I'll be training the whole month of January. I'm going to be exhausted!

I'm having fun learning new Southern terms in Charlotte. People say "Chiiiiild" and "Basically" after every word. It's very entertaining!

Only one more week to go!!!

Rats!

Apparently, LA is dealing with rats right now. I think everyone should leave that state and create a new state by taking a part ofTexas. They could call it "Loute"...what do you think?

In other news, I am going to see my brother today. I'm suppose to go to a big party this evening but I'm not really into keg parties so I doubt I'll stay for that.

Oh and just to clarify: I love people of all faiths and cultures.
