A whole lotta' stomach pains!

I'm not feeling well today. My stomach is killing me! Thankfully, someone invented Aleve.

It has become increasingly apparent that my apartment complex is disorganized. I told them not to send a maintenance person to the apartment today due to me being sick, but they still did (even after they called me and told me it was rescheduled for tomorrow). Bastards! I guess this is what happens when you live in a place that holds over 1500 residents. If it wasn't so beautiful we'd be out months ago...

Shout out to the Golden boy!

My baby brother, Aaron, left today for Korea. He will be teaching English to LG/Phillips Executives. Hopefully he enjoys it and comes back a new man! I wish him the best of luck in his adventure! We will miss you, Arinski!

And a tad bit of India...

My father-in-law recently visited India for work. I had requested a saree, but didn't expect anything. To my surprise, we received a package yesterday from my in-laws that included a beautiful blue and gold saree. Here are some pics of Myke and I wearing the presents:

Thanks so much, Evert (and Sandra)!!!

The Great OC BBQ!

Headline: OC is on fire!! OC is on fire!

Here's what we know so far:
1. Fire officials found three separate "points of origin," all near the intersection of Silverado Canyon Road and Santiago Canyon Road. Two were on one side of the road, and the third was on the other.

2. Orange County Fire Authority reports the Santiago Fire has burned 15,800 acres and is 30 percent contained. The fire has changed course and is moving north toward Silverado Canyon. Lake Forest, Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills are no longer in danger.

3. Ashes are falling from the sky and into people's eyes!

4. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is calling up 1,500 National Guard troops to deploy to the Southern California wildfires.

5. It's really hard to breathe! Oh and it smells like a giant BBQ or camp fire.

*This is brought to you by the OC Register and Dara's crazy mind!*

Gold is a very good color!

I got to sleep in this morning! Yeah!! I wish I could sleep in until 12 or 1pm though. I haven't done that for awhile. And that's how I know I'm getting older. Of course, with older age comes more napping and going to bed early. I think I'm going to like being older. Oh how I love the Golden Girls!

Today I have a doctor's appointment and then a lunch date with my friend, Hilary.

This weekend will be mellow and unproductive.

SLO

My trip to SLO went well. We didn't get too many resumes, but I figure we'll get more during the Winter fair. The actual town was super cute. We went to the Farmer's Market on Thursday night (it's a big thing there). We also went to some yummy restaurants there (I don't remember the names though). Oh and my hotel room was almost as big as my apartment (too much space for just one person). Hopefully, next time around Myke will come with me.

I need to go catch up on my zzzz's. PEACE!!!

She came in through the bathroom window...

Yesterday Myke and I listened to The Beatles on the way to dinner (Rosine's was yummy, by the way). If ever I was only allowed to listen to one band, I'd choose The Beatles. What an amazing group of guys (minus Ringo...haha). It was fun singing along to "Golden Slumbers" and "Because" with Myke. I was actually sad when we got home and had to turn the radio/car off. At least I have something to look forward to the next time I get into the car.

Completely unrelated, here is a super cute pic of Schmaty. She looks like she should be in Star Wars.

Dirty South!!

Between Stone Mountain, The Rat Pack, Pavole's and Mom and Dad's place, I had little down time in Georgia. Though I had little time to rest, I had lots of fun. I just wish I was there for a longer amount of time. Maybe next time...

And the highlights of the trip were (in no particular order):
