A lot from a little

I have a horseshoe up my ass!

My training class gave me a gift card to Visa and a little cake (they know I love the cake). It was super sweet of them. They were really a good group of kids!

Tomorrow Myke and I have decided to visit San Diego. I like doing going to different places on the weekend. OC can get so boring so easily!
UPDATE
: Myke and I didn't end up going to San Diego. Instead we spent the whole day instead talking and watching movies. It was nice!

Tonight will be spent eating pizza and watching movies by myself. Oh the life of an OCer!

A belated Happy Birthday goes out to my Aunt Shira and Papa John!

Here's to the positive!

Myke and I were just discussing how our friend, Naomi, seems to always be in a good mood. She's so positive and has a great outlook on life. I envy that. It's hard to bstay positive when chaos and stress follows you. I have just gone through 3 of the 5 (or is it 7?) life stresses-- marriage, moving, and finding a job. For the most part things have been going well, but every now and then I'll get homesick (I miss TO) or get irritated with my job. I guess that's life though, huh?
I do make sure I have little things to look forward to though. For example, Myke and I ate at the Melting Pot tonight. I spent the whole day thinking about dinner. It was definitely the highlight of my day :)

Anyways, here's to the more positive things in life! Cheers!

Surpises!

On Friday night I heard from my brother. He's in Australia right now. He told me fun tales and facts as well as disturbing information (i.e. he killed a HUGE hairy spider in his hostel room...yuck!). He sounded like he was having fun though. I'm envious that he is travelling the world.

Today I got a random call from my old friend, Stephanie, saying she was in OC and wanted to hang out for a bit. We met at a local mall and had a hot choc./tea. It was nice to chat. She is one interesting girl! I wonder if it will be another 2 years until I see her again? I remember a time when I saw her every day. It's crazy how one minute someone can be your best friend and the next they can be a stranger. I guess that's life, right?

Myke and I have plans to see a movie tonight. Should be fun. The highlight of my weekend will be tomorrow though. I am set to have an 80 minute massage/body scrub/wrap at a local spa. I'm super excited! I need a massage badly! I've been on my feet every day for the past 2 weeks so it will be nice to have someone fix the kinks in my neck, back, etc...

Not on my dime!

I am a training machine! Only 1 more week to go until my class graduates (for everyone's records, I am training a 3-week customer service class).

Good news came to Myke and myself today through mail. 2007 is starting out great! I hope this luck continues!

Why is "The Office" only 30 minutes long? It should be way longer! I demand for it to be longer! So there!

The best of "W" (pronounced dubya)

"Make no mistake about it, I understand how tough it is, sir. I talk to families who die."

"Occasionally. One of the things I've used on the Google is to pull up maps. It's very interesting to see -- I've forgot the name of the program -- but you get the satellite, and you can -- like, I kinda like to look at the ranch. It remind me of where I wanna be sometimes."
"I said I was looking for a book to read, Laura said you ought to try Camus. I also read three Shakespeares. ... I've got a eck-a-lec-tic reading list."

"See, the irony is that what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this s**t, and it's over."

"We shouldn't fear a world that is more interacted."

I think -- tide turning -- see, as I remember -- I was raised in the desert, but tides kind of -- it's easy to see a tide turn -- did I say those words?"

"I'll be glad to talk about ranching, but I haven't seen the movie. I've heard about it. I hope you go -- you know -- I hope you go back to the ranch and the farm is what I'm about to say."

"Wow! Brazil is big."

"I'm going to spend a lot of time on Social Security. I enjoy it. I enjoy taking on the issue. I guess, it's the Mother in me."

"Who could have possibly envisioned an erection -- an election in Iraq at this point in history?"

"Too many OB-Gyn's aren't able to practice their profession with women all across the country"

"Happy Feet" but not so happy movie goers

Myke and I just got back from seeing "Happy Feet" and although it was a cute movie the movie goers that shared the theatre with us were oh so annoying! I don't think people realize that everyone pays a lot of money (movies are around $10 here and about $15 in Canada) to go to a movie and that silence is GOLDEN (seriously though!!). When the previews start that is the cue to be quiet. Am I alone on this one?
Anyways, I did enjoy the movie (especially the music!).

New Years was fun as well. We spent a couple of hours at Miss Hilary's place and then we headed home to celebrate New Years (Side Note: Myke and I have only really spent 3 New Years together out of a total 7 years of being together...pretty sad).

Myke and I also went to The Melting Pot with Cherie and Larry on Friday. It was yummy as always and the conversation was great.

I train tomorrow. Gotta wake up early!
