Me likey the fiber!

Taking out coke and meat has done wonders for my diet!  I've lost 5 lbs in one week!  My stomach isn't 100% better but it's getting there.  I just hope that I don't have to limit my diet forever.  Stupid gastro problems!

I had a really nice talk with my brother a couple of days ago.  It's funny how he is envious of my lifestyle.  I wish I had the balls to pick up and travel some place.  It doesn't always pay to be the responsible child.
I'm really hoping to travel to Europe in 2009/2010.  I hope it happens!

I concur about the responsible child bit. I think its an oldest child thing. Glad you are feeling better!

Doesn't it suck! I wish I could be completely irresponsible sometimes. Oh how I miss my youth :)

    Darling Dara:
Your Nana is a split personality. I was the second child in my family; however after my brother's death when he was 6, I was 3, and Rosie was 1, I became the oldest child, and a year after Bobby died, my sister Jeanette was born, and 13 months later came my brother, Harold.
In the past I have undegone allergy testing for all kinds of things, including food. In those days the only cheese my mother served was cottage cheese, or Kraft Velveeta. As an adult, I swore I would never buy Velveeta, and I never have. I have to stick to low-fat cheeses, but I can't stand the really low-fat ones, which only have 7% butter fat, and you feel like you are eating cardboard. I love Havarti (light); I adore Brie; I love Edam, Mozzarella isn't too bad. Camambert is also nice. Gouda, and of course you have to have cream cheese with smoked salmon. My favourite method, if you remember, is to prepare open-faced grilled cheese in the toaster-oven, or if you don't have a toaster-oven, you can do it in the regular oven.
And another favourite, not cheese, is Hummus, especially on Melba Toast. That's a treat, too.
Today I visited Papa, and I brought my friend, Irene. Aunt Rosie also dropped in to visit Papa. Then Irene and I went to the Promenade Mall, had lunch at The Pickle Barrel, and went to see the Kevin Costner movie, Swing Vote. We loved it! You and Myke have got to see it.
I saw your cousin Rachel on Friday evening, and she looks great! She actually gained 2 pounds, and her figure is a little more rounded. Little Jada was clinging to Rachel as if there was a band of Velcro between them.
Love you and Myke from Papa and me.
